Job Description
As a Swim Instructor at Princeton Piranhas Swim Team, you will lead swimming programs, providing customized lessons to children of all ages and skill levels. This position is perfect for students who have a genuine love for swimming, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to motivate young swimmers and foster their appreciation for the water. We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated Swim Instructor to join our team at Princeton Piranhas Swim Team in Princeton, NJ.
Responsibilities
• Provide swim instruction for students of varying ages and abilities
• Ensure a safe and positive learning environment for all participants
• Monitor student progress and offer feedback and support as necessary
Requirements
• Experience working with individuals of all ages and skill levels, particularly in an educational or instructional capacity
• Proficient in swimming techniques and strokes
• Strong knowledge of water safety and survival skills
• CPR & First Aid Certified (infant, child & adult)
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and innovative teaching abilities
• Effective behavior management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and professionally
• Previous experience in childcare or coaching sports is advantageous and demonstrates competence in structured child-centric environments
• A genuine passion for swimming and working with children
